It was a perfect day from start to finish.
Pre-wedding jitters? The only ones I noticed were mine and the CE’s, worrying about the weather (the fog lifted just in time!) the greenness of the lawn (the chairs mercifully covered those brown spots) and rose petals for the aisle (they arrived and were beautiful!)
A small army of caterers and organizers arrived to get everything ready.
The bride was serene and happy. She and her attendants arrived mid-morning for hair and make-up while we scurried around completing last-minute errands.
Then the guests began to arrive.
I didn’t have a clear view of the ceremony but did get this one snap:
After dinner, the young people (and some of the older crowd, too!) dance the evening away. Then we all gathered under the stars as the happy couple made their getaway amidst a “bubble tunnel” and started what I know will be their very happy new life together. Our prayers and very best wishes go with them.
