Break a leg?

Here we are on Surgery Eve. Looks like this is really going to happen. We’ve had the pre-op appointment

"They're going to do WHAT to my ankle?"

And we’ve had the crutch tutorial

"Hmmm...tell me I won't need these for more than a day or two?"

And we’ve had the wonderful send-off dinner of Boeuf Bourguignon and an amazing apple tart for dessert

Yum! Thanks, Victoria!

And now the countdown has officially begun to the 3:30 am wake-up call, the 5 am hospital check-in and the 7 am surgery. Thanks everyone for prayers and well wishes. We’ll be in touch.

"What? Me Worry?"

Wishing a successful surgery and speedy recovery to the CE! Sounds like his doctor is the AE (ankle emperor) and he is in good hands….xo

Thinking of the CE and hoping for an easy surgery and quick recovery.

Meanwhile, I’m surprised you didn’t point out that on surgery-eve the CE not only had a scrumptious dinner but you allowed him command of the remote. Now that’s love.

Recovery won’t be as hard as it was having teenage girls with infants. At least, let’s hope..,
get well soon, Dad!!!! You’ll pull it off like a Champ. Thx pollo for updates. Thinking of both of you.

CE..If knowing that someone cares helps the healing process, then you should be feeling much better as you read this.
