Goodbye Hello.
Spent our first night in the apartment! Must admit it was a little sad to check out of the Palace Hotel where we’ve had so many great visits. However, it was exciting to “move in” to our apartment and wake … Continue reading
Gobble Gobble
On Tuesday we will head back to the West Coast and Still Life With Chickens, but for now we remain revved up in NYC – those of you seeking Chicken News will have to settle for Turkey Day snapshots for … Continue reading

Giving thanks – NYC-style.
There’s only one place to be on Thanksgiving morning in Manhattan, and that is on the route for the Macy’s parade. Since the parade passes right by our building, we were exceedingly popular for a few hours. It was not … Continue reading

Catching Up.

Another day, Another egg!
Hope just laid egg #4! We saw her lurking on the coop counter while the other girls were outside, so we waited around until she exited. Sure enough, another beautiful egg! It was still warm when I picked it up. Amazing!
Eggo-centric
Pollo Amiga stopped by yesterday to see the new egg, which I had, unfortunately, given away. She visited for a bit, and when she left I went into the coop to clean up – there was another egg! right next … Continue reading

Would you like that scrambled or fried?
WE GOT OUR FIRST EGG!!!!!! Woot! Woot! Yippee! Dancing! Turning cartwheels! Well, hardly, but I would if I could. I came home after dark yesterday, which means anytime after 4:30 these days. The CE had already closed up the coop, … Continue reading
