Moving experiences.

We’re months away from moving in, but it’s exciting just to get a start on the process. Our wonderful real estate agent, Patricia, introduced us to our wonderful decorator, Marjorie, who introduced us to her wonderful upholsterer, Emily, who introduced us to a divine sofa which is our first actual furniture purchase for our apartment. We’ve been working non-stop, but during a rare break, Marjorie invited us for lunch on her exquisite terrace.

Drat! I'm so sorry for not taking a second shot since her eyes are closed, but you all must meet the inimitable Emily. She's thinking of getting chickens!

Here are a few shots of the view from our apartment:

Alas, I have not laid eyes on a single chicken during this visit, but we did encounter this duck made from a white radish at dinner the other night:

We ate at Aja over on 1st Avenue and 58th St. Good food!

Yesterday, we took a break from working on the new apartment and helped Daniel move into his dorm.

In Daniel's highly coveted single.

His room is small but the view is lovely - lots of green in the middle of nyc!

And lastly, in lieu of chickens, here’s a NYC wise guy to behold. You never know whoo-whoo you’ll meet when you come to the big city.

Isn't this a hoot?
