Brrrr-r-r-r-r!!!

I probably need to invest in one of those plastic squeegee things people back East use to scrape off their windshields in winter. I’ll need it to remove the ice from my computer screen, as, in addition to fog and ash, we’re scheduled for “unseasonably cool” temperatures tomorrow. I just hope there’s a sliver of sun during the ceremony. Julia, Grant and their families were here this afternoon for the rehearsal.

Julia’s mom is an artist, and look what she made for us!

How cute is that!

The CE already put it up. Now I just need help deciding what color to paint the coop door – I’m leaning toward the green in the sign. What do you think?

Daniel’s friend, Amber, is visiting with us while her parents are away. She’s too polite to decline a tour of the chicken coop, and proved herself to be quite brave by holding Amelia like a seasoned chicken professional.

I brought Amelia into the kitchen before dinner for a brief walkabout. Poorly timed, unfortunately, as Victoria was cooking and tonight’s dinner was Coq au Vin. Poor Amelia. She’ll never be the same. But she’s a lot better off than that Coq in the au Vin!
