Enormous changes at the last minute

The CE and I decided to fast-forward the coop move, paint notwithstanding. Fewer variables for the boys to deal with while we’re gone. So the CE spent yesterday afternoon (and evening per the last post) pulling things together inside the coop. We think it’s got everything short of an Oriental carpet, and we know where to get one of those if we need it!

So in they went ! We coaxed them from the pen through the chunnel and closed the door behind them. I brought them their little tub of grass and mixed up some yogurt with their food to pamper them. Since they won’t be allowed out of the coop until tomorrow or Monday, I’ll spoil them a bit with treats while they’re on lockdown. They seem to be acclimating so far:

It is a complete revelation to me (uncapitalized “r”) that the Gates of Hell are staffed by…………Chickens(?)………. And furthermore, that all of this was duly recorded by Dante’s thumbs several hundred years ago on his BlackBerry.
