A New Flower In Our Garden!

The CE is in San Francisco, Taylor is in Peru, Daniel and Angie are in NYC and I’m holding down the fort here in So Cal with the dogs, cats and chickens. But we were all linked (thank you, technology!) yesterday afternoon as Tina went into the hospital down in Newport Beach to have her baby.
Angie and I traded nervous texts when it seemed like things were taking too long. Who says the digital age doesn’t bring families together?
And then, finally. the first photo came in:
We knew the baby would be born on February 16. We knew it would be a little girl. The name was to be a surprise.
But now we can welcome Caleigh Rose to the world and our family!
She was born at 1:07 pm and weighed 6 lbs 10 oz.
She is perfect in every way except perhaps that she kept her mom awake all night last night. Hopefully that is not the start of a trend.
The CE and I cannot wait to meet her tomorrow when we travel south to help out for a few days.
Congratulations Tina, John, Evie and Viv!!!
And congratulations to the CE on being a five-time grandpa!

What a beautiful child! Congratulations to mom, dad and both sisters. And yes, the waiting was a bit unnerving; to the point where I called Verizon yesterday to increase my phone’s internet speed. It was well worth it as I got the Blessed Event news .03 microseconds faster than I would have otherwise. Go Caleigh Rose, Go!!

So beautiful! It sure appears as though Tina & Caleigh Rose didn’t spend any time worrying – they look as fresh as, well, a Rose.
And now I’ll spend the rest of the day channeling Chevalier and humming “Thank Heaven for Little Girls.”
