There is a fair amount of confusion overĀ Auracaunas, Ameraucanas and Easter Eggers. One doesn’t have to dig very far to come up with contradictory pronouncements about what does/does not define one of these breeds. One general rule, although not undisputed, is that the “pure” breeds have slate-colored legs, while the Easter Eggers’ legs are green. Here are Autumn’s lovely gams:

Green feet!

"Just remember, it's about the eggs, not the legs!"

Eggs from an Easter Egger - hope we get some like these!

Would have been nice to mention that all chunnel work was completed without any worker deaths or disfigurements. Also, immigration inspectors at each port (Paris and London) will be checking chicken passports for proper stamping and certifications. Those birds not in compliance will be returned to their home countries or, in this case, coops.
